Web Photography by Lausen, was established in 2014, to sell images for social media content. In addition, portrait photography and image editing/restoration services were offered. In 2016, WPBL strategized to create SPBL (stock photos by lausen) to sell digital stock images, with WPBL Co. offering portraits. The decision to acronym the business name began with SPBL, today, WPBL IMAGES is the name which business is conducted. In 2019, SPBL was closed shortly after Covid-19 took hold. Thus, WPBL IMAGES emerged. WPBL IMAGES - Portraits & Travel, operate independently, yet, under the same ownership and founding name. Change has taken hold while continual improvement is evident. Visitors, please be mindful that this is a new home, and additions are underway. For my valued clients, WPBL IMAGES - Portraits galleries are still viewable at wpblimagesportraits.mypixieset.com.

As your WPBL photographer, I am passionate about photography, especially capturing my clients personality. Portraits are lasting memories of a milestone in ones education or career, a child's growing years, a family event and more. So why not capture the best of these moments? My interest in photography began as a young child. Finding
As your WPBL photographer, I am passionate about photography, especially capturing my clients personality. Portraits are lasting memories of a milestone in ones education or career, a child's growing years, a family event and more. So why not capture the best of these moments? My interest in photography began as a young child. Finding an old camera at a Church rummage sale, and not fully aware of how to use it, amazingly, I did capture photos that were not-so-bad. As years passed, my interest did not waiver as I bought my first 35mm film camera. A great way to gain confidence, learn focus, composition, and other camera functions. Soon after, I began my photographers journey working as a children's portrait photographer in retail stores with a FREE 8x10 advertised with a 99-cent sitting fee! Incredible deal! More amazing, is that the photos were taken with a magazine camera, holding a large roll of film - nothing digital back then. Extreme care was needed to remove the film to send to the company for processing. It was a great experience learning posing, lighting, customer service and relating to both kids and parents. Then the digital age arrived! Wow! What a change in photography - no film to buy or process. Soon after, my dear husband gave me my first digital camera. He is my favorite traveling companion, confidant, and guide.
Then alas, the emergence of post editing
software - what a real cool tool! Always best to assure photos are of highest quality when printed. Learning is ongoing, but I advanced to using my digital 35mm camera in manual mode, focus, aperture, shutter speed, exposure - all it takes while composing my best shot. Currently I study from numerous Master Photographers who often post photo tips on all topics, to perfect the quality of all my finished photos to achieve the highest quality possible wpbl-images valued clients.
